“Futuristically Classy, French Kiwi Juice.”
AAOP has been tracking, enjoying and sharing FKJ’s music for some time now so it felt fitting to do a Music Monday featuring our selection of FKJ’s masterpieces. Each track brings his signature futuristic smooth and grooving electronic sound that deserve the spotlight.
FKJ is part of French record label, Roche Musique, along side previous Music Monday features, Cherokee and Darius. All the artist have a distinct sound influenced by House music. They are truly a label to keep your eye on.
The playlist kicks off with his most played track on Soundcloud, “Lying Together”, which he released for free via his Facebook. It features his signature sound, keyboards and vocal samples. Following that is “Unchained”, featured in our previous September Selection playlist, is from one of his earlier EP’s. For Learning to Fly he recruits the vocal help of Jordan Rakei of Australia, known for his soulful groove tracks, making for a great r&b feel track.
The next two tracks are off his first EP, “The Twins” released back in 2012. The first of the two, named after the EP itself, can be heard in many of his live mixes, and picks the pace up with “Bad Habit”. FKJ gives his remix treatment to tracks by ZHU and Eli Paperboy Reed, to close out the selection with the first being featured on electronic and hip-hop music blog site ThisSongIsSick.com. Expect more to come from FKJ and label Roche Musique in 2015.
Enjoy – JB
