Something for the lovers: 14 songs to warm up your Valentine’s Day (and night)

This playlist is a little something for the lovers. Yes, even if its just you, yourself, and wine, you still count.

Valentines Day (V-day) — the national holiday for lovers a.k.a. national singles awareness day — is always an interesting time of year. Especially since its not technically an official holiday, but it is sort of. As soon as Christmas decorations go down, local grocery stores are quick to bombard us with heart-shaped candy aisles, while our inboxes fill up with alerts reminding us that we have X weeks and X days till V-day (insert eye-roll).

Perhaps St. Valentine knew February despite being peak winter, as a time for comfort, warmth, and for the touch of a friendly hand and a nice fireside chat. A time when we find comfort in being home. Indoors safe away from the frigid cold of the outdoors (or world), and wrapped in a metaphorical blanket of warmth, and sweeten by a lovers embrace.

Rather you’re waking up to cute paragraphs or simply to “100% charged” and “update iCloud storage” alerts, this is a small something for you.

This playlist is a little something for the lovers. Rather you’re waking up to cute paragraphs or simply to “100% charged” and “update iCloud storage” alerts, this is a small something for you. Hit play, blast it on the speakers for that special Valentines date, or at least your hook-up for the night. Unless you’re in legit singles valley, cozy in your favorite pair of sweats, then simply enjoy it for yourself and chill.
